- Min. 14 years old
- Swimming ability: Must be able to swim 200m (or 300 meters using mask, fins and snorkel) at your own pace and float for 10 minutes – this is easy!

What is the PADI Open Water course?

The Open Water course is the world’s most popular diving course. This beginner PADI certification will teach you the skills to dive safely and independently anywhere in the world. And what better place to do it than the incredible Antalya dive sites. There is so much to explore underwater here! After you get this diving certification your life will never be the same again.
It takes four days to get your Open Water course but the diving adventures will take a lifetime. This diving course is divided in three steps: theory and knowledge development with a PADI Instructor, skill practice in shallow water – to learn the basic safety techniques of scuba diving, and diving in open water to apply the basic diving techniques learned in the shallow water. Then it’s time to explore the stunning before finally explore the stunning underwater world of Antalya. What are the options to become an Open Water Diver?
If you want to maximise your diving time in Antalya, you can take the theory online prior to arrival. If you take the eLearning you’ll need just 3-4 days to complete the course. You can start the Open Water eLearning immediately and work at your own pace whenever you have free time. The eLearning takes around 10 hours to complete and you have one year available to finish everything. It’s a fun and efficient way to learn and you will have lifetime access to all online learning.
